Bob Brooks was born in Portland, Oregon in 1946. His parents'
service in the Marine Corps sent him to bases in Arkansas,
Georgia and North Carolina, where he eventually enrolled in
East Carolina University. Early in his freshman year Bob discovered
the college radio station and a passion for broadcast that
he vowed to make a career. His dream was short-circuited when
he was drafted to fight in Vietnam with the 1st Air Cavalry
in 1968.
After his release from the service, Bob embraced his passion
for radio and built a successful career as a programming manager
and a national on-air and voiceover talent. In 1995 he became
Production Manager for Entercom Portland, where he oversees
commercial and imaging production for seven radio stations.
